With a baby, a business and a new build on the way we’ve been thinking a lot about how we can get back more of our most precious commodity - TIME.
This week on Tips, Hacks, Ideas we asked you for your best time-saving hacks. Most of them are household and cleaning related which is absolutely no surprise - maintaining houses are hard work!
We hope you find some valuable tips in here! Thanks to all of the legends who sent through their tips, we’ll definitely be applying some of these to our daily routines!
Best time-saving hacks (so you can spend more time doing what you love)
Plan a week at at time and write a daily to-do list the night before
Set your clothes out for the next day
Batch cooking, double - even triple your recipes and freeze
Organise cutlery when stacking the dishwasher so it's more efficient to unpack
Hang clothes on coat-hangers on the line and move directly to wardrobe
Click & collect grocery shopping
Set up a wake-up time and have a morning routine
Slow-cooker meals
Organise your day in 50 minute / 10 minute intervals
Put your phone away to stop distractions
Delete social media apps from your phone / put timers on them
Check emails twice a day
Plan your meals ahead of time
Set aside a time each week for life admin (paying bills etc)
Prepare for the next day's activities (gym, school, work) & pack your bag
Divide up household chores
Turn off phone notifications
Make a list of all the errands you need to do that week and do them all on one day rather than having to duck out every day
Plan TV-free nights
Use technology to save time, online shopping
Keep the kitchen utensils & oils you use often next to the stove
Place all of your cleaning supplies in a bucket and move from room to room
Robot vacuum cleaner
If budget permits, hire help for cleaning / gardening
