Imo grew up in Cairns and we’ve lost count the amount of times we’ve travelled back to visit friends and family. Far North Queensland is filled with beautiful places to explore and is a perfect holiday destination for nature lovers.

The Northern Beaches

Trinity Beach is where Imo’s family home is, it’s a beautiful stretch that is lined with palm trees, overlooking the ocean and across to Double Island. It’s about 25 minutes from Cairns city centre and is filled with lots of amazing restaurants and accomodation options - including our favourite, Vue Apartments.

10 minutes north is Palm Cove, another great spot filled with beachfront restaurants and luxury resorts.

Ocean Swimming

If visiting Far North Queensland you can’t pass up on the opportunity to travel out to The Great Barrier Reef. For snorkelling and diving it’s best to travel to the outer reef. If you’re just looking for some fun in the sun and crystal clear water one of the islands or cays are a great place to spend the day.
