Black And White Bedroom That's Far From Boring

It's not every day that we get asked to build a black bed so when we were approached by clients from Tasmania to create a custom black Bookshelf Bed of course we said yes. Excited to try something new, we used the Feast Watson at Black Japan Stain and Varnish.

As soon as Al was finished making this beautiful bed in the workshop, of course I had to bring it inside and style it up in our home studio. I was so curious to know what it was going to look like when styled and I absolutely love how the bed fades into the background and all of the bed linen and styling items just pop!

Sage x Clare recently released their new Celeste collection, featuring a lot of gorgeous monochromatic bed linen which I thought would be perfect to compliment this bed! I decided to add a pop of pink with the bed sheets, books & pots which I picked up from local plant shop heaven Arizona Living. And because I know you’re going to ask (you always do) the rug is from our mates over at Rugs For Good and it’s their style “Lagom” in ivory.

We hope this bedroom styling inspires you to play around with bold prints and textures!
