I'm sure most people can agree that nature has been the best antidote for lockdown the blues.

How lucky we are to live amongst such beauty!

We're always evaluating the processes in our household and business when it comes to sustainability. We're first to admit we're a work-in-progress. This week we wanted to ask for your best baby-step tips for small changes you can make in your day-to-day life to tread lighter on our lovely earth.

  • Switch off standby appliances

  • Substitute single-use plastic for reusable alternatives

  • Turn down your heating / cooling

  • Go paperless, request bills and receipts via email

  • Electric car

  • Hang out your clothing instead of using a dryer

  • Renewable energy, solar power / renewable electricity companies

  • Beeswax wraps instead of cling wrap

  • Compost

  • Grow your own produce

  • Reuse glass jars & bottles

  • Donate unwanted items / buy secondhand

  • Use grey water for toilets & garden

  • Drive less, cycle / walk / public transport

  • Use eco-friendly cleaning products

  • Think twice before shopping, ask yourself - do I really need this?

  • Shop for energy efficient appliances

  • House insulation & insulated windows

  • Meal plan to avoid wastage

  • Energy-saving lightbulbs

  • Reduce your meat consumption

  • Use your vote to back representatives with good sustainability policies

  • Put on an extra layer of clothing instead of turning on the heater
