5 Winter Knitwear Looks Styled By Imo
Brands We Love
It’s officially cold, so when my friend Caroline, designer of Maxted Clothing contacted me to look at her new knitwear collection I jumped at the opportunity. For those of you who don’t I have a degree in Fashion Design and have always had a love of clothes and they way dressing can make you feel.
Caroline brought the collection over to our house for me to style with my own wardrobe. Here are 5 winter looks that put together that are comfortable and stylish for any day of the week.
Maxted is premium knitwear designed in Australia, on Victoria's Surf Coast. Timeless pieces and capsule collections for Australians that want effortless, essential women's knitwear.

For this look I am wearing the Maxted Sadie pullover and the colour is golden. It’s got this really lovely split detail up the side and it’s quite a loose fit which I like. What I love about this jumper is that it has a nice cuff detail. Being on the shorter side (160cm), with shorter arms I tend to roll up my cuffs which works great with this knit. I decided to pair it with high-waisted cord flares, a corduroy cap, brown pointed toe leather boots and a long mustard and brown tartan check trench coat.
This is an easy during the week look, I am wearing the Maxted fine gauge roll neck and the colour is bark. It’s a cotton cashmere blend, and is extremely comfortable. This is a really great piece to layer with during the cooler months and for this look I have paired it with my high waisted straight-leg jeans, brown leather boots and a snug cropped shearling jacket. I love the earthy colour and I can easily imagine this becoming a staple piece in my wardrobe this winter.
For a really easy put together look I've gone for all tonal greys and blacks. I chose the Maxted Albie pullover which is a mohair blend and the colour is ashes. What I love about this knit is the gorgeous detailing that runs diagonally across the front. I’ve found in the past jumpers with patterns can tend to feel quite chunky and unflattering but that wasn’t the case with this jumper at all. I styled it with a pair of grey wool, cropped trousers that I picked up from an op-shop years ago, patent leather black loafers and a black leather backpack.
This is a going out look, let’s say we have a babysitter and we’re heading out for dinner. I’ve got my heels on and I’ve gone head-to-toe bottle green with high waisted loose trousers and a tight knit tee. To finish the look I am wearing the Maxted 100% merino wool Grandpa Cardigan in the colour - pale oat. I feel like this is a really great staple piece that you can wear casually as lounge-wear or dress up and wear at night.
For this look I am wearing the Maxted Paris roll neck and the colour is khaki and it’s made from Australian Merino wool. It is so comfortable and beautiful and I've painted it with a black wool mini skirt, matching black wool beret, leather backpack and black leather flatforms. This is a really fun look for weekdays or the weekend and to finish it off I threw my black, cropped leather jacket over the top.

Both Al and I love timber and we love to cook, so when it came to designing and building our kitchen we wanted to create a functional space and felt beautiful to be in. The kitchen has become the heart of our home, with our island bench the place we all gather around.
