When it comes to designing and building furniture Al and I always consider practicality, functionality, longevity and aesthetics. Essentially.. we want our furniture to do more than just look good. And from our sales it shows that our customers too are looking for multifunctional furniture, in particular our drawer beds that capitalise on the prime realestate that often goes unused OR not used well.

This recipe has been passed onto us by our neighbour Di and I believe it was passed onto her by another one of our neighbours… may as well be called Freshwater Creek Chicken.

Moving house can be a daunting task, I know it was for us. The day we moved I was 37 weeks pregnant, our removalists finished at 8pm and we were wrangling a tired toddler and an anxious pup! This holiday season I’ve teamed up with Cricut to create DIY personalised Christmas gift sacks for Goldie and all of her little friends. This is a really fun project and I know the kids will enjoy them for many years to come. I hope this inspires you to get crafty this holiday season and from my family to yours Merry Christmas! 

This is an all-time favourite recipe, it’s full of flavour and really doesn’t take that long! Just make sure to prep all of your ingredients first! You can also substitute the seafood for chicken thighs or puffed tofu.

For this bedroom style we were inspired by the flowering wattle blossoms and how they pack a punch of colour on a gloomy winter’s day. So when Al finished making this custom Bookshelf Bed and matching Lowboy Chest of drawers it only felt right to go bold and style using a mix of fun colours, textures and prints.

It's not every day that we get asked to build a black bed so when we were approached by clients from Tasmania to create a custom black Bookshelf Bed of course we said yes. Of course we had to bring it inside and style it up in our home studio. We was so curious to know what it was going to look like when styled and we absolutely love how the bed fades into the background and all of the bed linen and styling items just pop!

It’s officially cold, so when my friend Caroline, designer of Maxted Clothing contacted me to look at her new knitwear collection I jumped at the opportunity. For those of you who don’t know, I have a degree in Fashion Design and have always had a love of clothes and they way dressing can make you feel.

To celebrate Goldie's birthday we had a little party at our friend's farm - Freshwater Creek Cottages, all of the kids absolutely loved the property and although they don't offer parties for the public they do offer really incredible accomodation if you're looking for a wholesome family holiday!

Nothing fills up our cup more as a family than heading out for a walk together. The track from Bells Southside to Bells Beach is one of our favourites. For anyone searching for a good dose of nature this is it, it’s usually pretty quiet - maybe because it’s not suitable for prams… so get your front packs on mummas and pappas and enjoy!
