Crafting Timeless Memories: Daisy's Nursery Revealed
This week we set up Daisy's nursery. The custom timber pieces, from the cot to the rocking chair, drawers, change table, and hanging shelf have a beautiful history. They were initially crafted with love by us for Daisy's older sister almost 3 years ago.
When we embarked on creating these treasures for Goldie, it wasn't just about making furniture – it was about weaving memories into every curve and grain. Now, fast forward to Daisy, and it's like passing down a piece of family history. The joy of continuing this tradition, of giving Daisy pieces that already hold the magic of bedtime stories and sweet dreams, adds a whole new layer to the process.
Crafting furniture for our little ones isn't just a project; it's a journey of love, connection, and passing down the essence of our family through the art of timber.
And so, Daisy's nursery becomes a canvas where the stories of two sisters intertwine through the warmth of our timber furniture.

For the paint, we chose colours from Tint Paint, which is an Australian company that creates super cool, eco-friendly premium paint We chose a creamy soft purple called “The Dame” for the ceiling and upper half of the wall and a punchy orange called “Juice Box” for the bottom half of the wall.
The Round Jute Rug by Rugs For Good is soft, sustainable, and ties the room together beautifully. I find that when you’re working with a lot of colour using natural fibres like jute, woven baskets and timber really helps to tie it all together. Champion Blinds nailed it with sheer curtains and motorised blinds. These are an absolute game-changer for those sunny Aussie days, ensuring Daisy's naptime stays peaceful and undisturbed. And let's not forget the linen by Sage x Clare – it's not just bedding; it's a statement. I chose linen and cushions that picked up the colours of the walls.
Daisy's nursery is a labour of love, a blend of our passion for design and family. We can't wait for the countless giggles and cosy moments that will fill this space. Cheers to creating memories in our own home!
