And from our sales it shows that our customers too are looking for multifunctional furniture, in particular our drawer beds that capitalise on the prime realestate that often goes unused OR not used well.

This holiday season I’ve teamed up with Cricut to create DIY personalised Christmas gift sacks for Goldie and all of her little friends. This is a really fun project and I know the kids will enjoy them for many years to come. I hope this inspires you to get crafty this holiday season and from my family to yours Merry Christmas!

For this bedroom style we were inspired by the flowering wattle blossoms and how they pack a punch of colour on a gloomy winter’s day. So when Al finished making this custom Bookshelf Bed and matching Lowboy Chest of drawers it only felt right to go bold and style using a mix of fun colours, textures and prints.

It's not every day that we get asked to build a black bed so when we were approached by clients from Tasmania to create a custom black Bookshelf Bed of course we said yes. Of course we had to bring it inside and style it up in our home studio. We was so curious to know what it was going to look like when styled and we absolutely love how the bed fades into the background and all of the bed linen and styling items just pop!

I absolutely love walking into Goldie’s nursery, it’s full of colour, textures and joy!

Last weekend we put up our Christmas tree and it felt like the start of a new family tradition. Going out and picking the tree, pulling out the decorations, decorating and turning on the lights. It got us thinking about how important it is to create traditions and rituals as a family.

Nestled amongst the gumtrees in the beautiful home of Phoebe and Chris lives our Bookshelf Ledge Bed, styled to perfection with bold colours and lush wares.

I recently got my hands on the beautiful Always Sunday Flower Power Rug designed by artist Gale Switzer. I was instantly excited about how the rug is reversible and by switching it from one side to the other can completely change the feeling of your room.

This week it is Al's turn in the workshop and we thought we'd build something we've always wanted - a timber ladder for either blankets or towels.

We decided to build a chest of drawers that could sit a removable change table tray on top so that we can continue to use it forever. The beauty of this plan is once you learn how to build a set of drawers the possibilities are limitless!

This week we decided to create a simple timber floating shelf coat rack. This is a great woodworking project for an entranceway, kitchen, bathroom or kids room!

We have a sneaky suspicion that we’ll be spending a lot of time here so we wanted to create something beautiful that we’ll be able to hold onto for all of our babies. The tray is designed to sit on top of set of drawers - plans available for this project too!

This is a super simple DIY sewing project perfect for beginners which we love for any room in the house. We’ve created digital patterns that you can print off and step-by-step instructions for this project which can access here.
